Hi – my name is Sara Dent and I am a photographer, public speaker, health coach, and professional farm wrangler. I have 20 years of experience developing programs, fundraising, building community, and acting as an agent for change, and 15 years of knowledge and experience in ecological agriculture and food systems. For the past decade, with a team of collaborators, I have grown a farmer2farmer educational resource network for new and young agro-ecological farmers called Young Agrarians.
As a systems thinker, my work is diverse. I have a deep love for photographing farms, food and ecology. I am fascinated by the intersection between the land and the body, soil and gut health. I believe that in order to rebuild broken ecologies, we need to grow social ecologies to nurture our communities and regenerate our environments. I dream of a world where ecology is at the heart of modern culture, and through our food ecosystems we can potentiate.

PHOTOGRAPHY
I have been taking photos since age 16. To see more works please visit FLIKR.
I began working on farms in 2006 and in 2008 completed the Linnaea Ecological Garden Programme on Cortes Island. The program teaches a broad spectrum of organic farming methods and permaculture design. In 2010 I participated in a Permaculture Teacher Training at Seattle Tilth and began teaching in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside in 2011. Young Agrarians work began late 2011 and has grown as a grassroots network across Canada since.
FACILITATION
I am a trained arts-based facilitator. I work with collaborative games and creative facilitation to guide large groups in the connecting, visioning and doing process. It is powerful to see how groups having fun together are that much more able to collaborate and create positive change.

Hi Sara, I am doing a story on wine country cooking and saw a pic of Curtis Stone on your flicker account. May we have permission to use that in the article? How do we credit and what is the fee? Your contact would be Jan Thalheimer, jan@bossanovaonline.ca.
Can you get back to me as soon as possible?
Thank you
